I find it a bit difficult writing about myself and how great I am (which for the record: I am), so I asked business partners & former colleagues how they see me and what has been said in all those conversations is that I am an energetic and enthusiastic lady with extensive managerial & controlling skills and I am keen on improvements. So there you have it. 😉

I have worked for 18 years in the field of Controlling of which 13 in corporate life and 5 in an educational institution and thus I have seen and experienced both worlds.

I am able to swiftly adapt to changing environments, but I am also especially skilled in getting the message across – in all levels of an organization, whether it be “a suit and tie” or not. Not only do I look at the numbers, but I also look at the context, the entire (end-to-end) process and very important: the people behind it. With a quip I can put people at ease or break open a deadlocked discussion.

I am also somewhat of a “forever student” and eager to learn. Finishing a post-HBO as Registered Financial Controlling® and a master’s degree in Business Process Management, whilst working fulltime and being a single parent, it shows the ambition and drive I have. Currently, I am doing a Philosophy program and as of November 2022 I will start with the program for prospective supervisors at UMIO. In my spare time (yes, I do have some) I love to read books, travel and dine out.

  • Automated and optimised the activities within F&C FS, which lead to a reduced headcount.

  • LEAN process optimalisation which reduced waiting time of that specific process from six weeks to zero.

Ensure timely, accurate and complete accounting of business activities in accordance with local and US GAAP standards and act as the main contact with the Global Shared Service Center in Hungary.

Provide financial support and advice to all activities of the Celanese plant. Ensuring that the site is SOX compliant. Member of the Site Management Team.

 

From March 2010 until September 2011, I was also plant controller for Celanese Emulsions Norden AB in Sweden (Perstorp). The controlling tasks were the same as in Geleen (with the exception of Local Finance).
